   Description
  The purpose of this position is Database designing, database availability, data integrity and proactively optimize database system performance; as well as manage , maintain and provide 24x7 support on Oracle Database Systems.

Major Responsibilities:

-Create, Manage and maintain all databases required for development, testing and production usage.
-Manage and maintain Hybrid Replication site.(Asynchronous Multi-master and Materialized View Replication sites).
-Monitor database events and proactively optimize system performance.
-Work in conjunction with other IT, application development, and business groups to understand functionality, scalability, performance, security, and integration requirements from the database perspective.
-Create, Manage and administer database objects, including tables, indexes, views, sequences, functions, packages and procedures.
I-nstallation, configuration and upgrading of Oracle server software and related products whenever required.
-Upgrade / patch existing Database with the assistance of the relevant IT staff, when necessary.
-Implement and maintain database security
-Problem determination and analysis of database problems, to help prevent recurrence.
-Perform migrations of procedures and functions, database changes, reference data changes through the development life cycle.
-Evaluate New Oracle features , tools and utilities
-Perform operating system administration and SAN storage monitoring and maintenance.

Requirements:

Oracle Database 10g Real Application Clusters Administrator Certified Expert, Oracle Database 11g Certified Professional (OCP DBA 11g),Oracle Database 10g Certified Professional (OCP DBA 10g), Diploma in Software Technology and Systems Management, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator, Diploma in RDBMS Management(Oracle), Oracle Advanced Replication, Bachelor of Science B.Sc(Physics)
2 years in Database administration.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with absolute discretion is mandatory for this position along with honesty and integrity.
Experience in Unix and Linux platforms
Self motivated, quick learner, excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Cross-cultural sensitivity and ability to work in a multi-national environment.
Exceptional troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills
