Creative Director Job Description
We are searching for a driven, detail-oriented Creative Director to lead and inspire the creative team to produce challenging, innovative, and conceptual work that meets and exceeds client expectations.
The primary role and purpose of this position is to lead the production and craft of relevant and original concepts in response to creative briefs and to develop the client relationship, while also representing the voice of the creative team with the Board of Directors.
The candidate will spearhead creative content for various clients covering different sectors, improving brand reputation, and expanding marketing and sales efforts.
To be successful in this position, you should focus on appealing to consumers' interests by creating engaging material, ultimately promoting collaboration between stakeholders to ensure consistency in brand communications.
The Responsibilities:
• Produce and craft original and great concepts, art direction, and copy in response to creative briefs
• Build, lead, and review work of the creative team in the production of all web, print, and digital marketing collateral
• Spearhead and manage projects, harnessing strategy, digital and brand design, compelling content, and technology
• Ability to strategically develop campaigns, from ideation, to copy, strategy, and rollout calendar
• Present work internally and externally in a clear and professional manner
• Manage creative output of the department to ensure consistency and quality of work delivered
• Encourage teams to be proactive and to think beyond the job
• Direct brainstorming meetings and creative sessions
• Shape brand standards and create procedures to ensure all products are brand appropriate
• Develop internal campaigns that translate marketing objectives across business units into clear creative strategies
• Analyze brand tracking, market trends, consumer need, and the competitive landscape
• Work closely with managers and account teams, ensuring effective communication and management of expectations
• Collaborate with teams to understand clients’ brand and manage projects that will support the delivery of the brand
• Encourage and facilitate collaboration within the team and other departments within the agency
• Develop the client relationship to support the delivery of the creative work
Business Management
• Manage the scheduling of work through the agency efficiently to maximize the resource you have
• Prioritize work load within the department to ensure demands are met and managed in a mutually beneficial manner
• Develop the creative department to anticipate and reflect the changing needs of the agency and its clients
• Lead the accurate recording of work time for yourself and the team
• Communicate business goals to the team, identify and articulate the creative contribution to these goals
• Initiate the setting of objectives for the department and the managing of budgets
• Collaborate with departments in developing marketing plans, analyzing results, and identifying opportunities
• Disseminate learning through creative team and coach team members
• Develop skills and knowledge within team through active participation in the agency and department
• Provide feedback to management regarding improvements that could be made to the department and agency
• Create clear development plans for yourself and your team and set out to achieve your goals

The Ideal Candidate
• Has at least 7 years industry experience from a multinational agency with a portfolio to die for
• Understands the Gulf market in particular Saudi Arabia and UAE
• Has excellent communication and relationship management skills
• Drives team work to allow all people to address issues presented ultimately adding additional value to client product
• Can create collaborative ways to inspire great work and a great place to work
• Can create an environment where challenge is the norm, seeking feedback on work, and freely giving feedback
• Is courageous enough to challenge creative teams providing detail and rationale to support the challenge
• Is able to present positivity in all areas of the job to inspire others
• States when work is not appropriate to the requirements and delivers constructive ways to address the issues
• Addresses areas of conflict immediately to ensure that work is completed with no confusion over deliverables
