Job Title: Accountant
Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant with prior experience in the non-profit sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, and providing financial insights to support the organization's mission.
Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Accounting Operations: Manage day-to-day accounting tasks, such as accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, payroll processing, and grant tracking.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations,
Budgeting: Assist in the development and monitoring of annual budgets, tracking actual expenditures against projections, and providing variance analysis.
Donor Reporting: Prepare financial reports for donors and funding agencies, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
Internal Controls: Maintain and strengthen internal control systems to safeguard the organization's assets and ensure financial integrity.
Financial Analysis: Provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making, including identifying cost-saving opportunities and program efficiency.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
