A major distributor in the region is looking to hire an IT Release and Change Manager.
Role Purpose: The IT Release and Change Manager, Lead ensures that all changes to the production environment follow standardized procedures to protect the company’s IT services. This role involves defining, documenting, and implementing policies for IT Change Management, providing guidance to ensure changes are managed efficiently and with minimal risk.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Change Management
- Ensure standardized procedures for managing IT changes.
- Work with change requestors to ensure all change records are complete and well-assessed.
- Log and prioritize all Requests for Change (RFCs) while assessing associated risks, urgency, and impacts.
2. Collaboration and Coordination:
- Collaborate with teams and Project Managers on planned projects and changes.
- Facilitate Change Board Advisory (CAB) meetings and technical reviews.
- Address and escalate issues and conflicts as necessary.
3. Validation and Reporting:
- Validate that changes have been implemented successfully.
- Develop and maintain a release management plan. - Provide regular reports on change statistics and efficiency.
4. Change Classification and Implementation:
- Classify change requests and coordinate development, testing, and implementation. - Develop and test rollback plans to minimize potential issues.
- Ensure rollback plans are communicated and ready for execution if needed.
5. Leadership and Communication:
- Foster a Change Management culture and lead continuous improvement efforts. - Communicate the impact of changes to management and users.
- Provide 24/7 Change Management support and perform additional duties as required.

Role Requirements
Education:- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Experience:
- At least 8+ years in an IT Service Management environment.
- ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management is a plus.
Knowledge:
- Familiarity with Change Management and international best practices.
- Strong project management knowledge and experience.
Skills & Competencies:
- Familiarity with Change Management tools and processes
- Knowledge of Release Management, Configuration Management, and version control tools
- Strong documentation and communication skills
