Position Title: Admin and HR Manager
Location: Abidjan, Ivory Coast
Reports To: General Manager
Position Summary:
The Admin and HR Manager is responsible for overseeing the administrative functions and human resources activities. The Admin and HR Manager will work closely with plant management to support the achievement of business objectives through effective workforce management and administrative support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in compliance with legal requirements.
• Manage the recruitment and selection process, including job postings, interviews, selection.
• Oversee employee onboarding process including resident and work permits for expats, accommodation, transportation, and all other needs.
• Conduct performance appraisals.
• Oversee employee training and development programs to enhance skills and performance.
• Administer employee benefits, compensation, and payroll.
• Handle employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievances.
• Handle employee departing and hand over process.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies.
• Implement initiatives to improve employee morale and retention.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections.
• Implement corrective actions to address safety concerns.
• Oversee daily administrative operations, including office management, facilities maintenance, and procurement of supplies.
• Manage the plant’s budget for administrative expenses.
• Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for IT, maintenance, cleaning, security, and other services.
• Maintain records and documentation.
• Ensure efficient communication and coordination between different departments.
• Collaborate with plant management to develop HR strategies aligned with business goals.
• Participate in the planning and execution of organizational changes and restructuring.
• Provide insights and recommendations on workforce planning and talent management.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR and administrative roles, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of labor laws, health and safety regulations, and HR best practices.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
• Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
