The F&B Quality Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining all quality standards of the receiving, storing, handling and transportation of Food and Beverage.
Key Accountabilities
Develop quality control procedures for food production, conservation and storage according to Standards
Develop quality control procedures for dispatching and delivering food products between stores or to the customers
Develop the cleaning and maintenance procedures of equipment and the chemical usage in the food preparation area
Conduct visits to our branches to assess vendor facilities to ensure compliance to established procedures, requirements and specifications
Conduct visits to audit and assess the F&B warehouse conditions and provide complete reports to ensure compliance to established procedures, requirements and specifications
Prepare corrective action reports on spotted quality/safety discrepancies and monitor that correction methods have been applied on deficiencies observed
Develop and complete the Food Safety and the HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) prerequisite documentation and assist in their implementation
Provide technical training to kitchen employees on Food Safety and the usage and maintenance of Quality Control instruments
Review, on a weekly basis, products' expiry date and prepare the necessary reports and action plans in coordination with the F&B Operations Manager
Research and stay abreast with new technologies and resources in the market and provide recommendations on methods that can be adapted
Requirements:
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge
Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science or a related field; Food & Safety trainer certification is a must; HACCP / HABC certification is a plus
2 years of experience in F&B operations, out of which minimum 1 year in Quality Control and inspection
Fluency in English
