Position Summary / Job Brief:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated MEP Projects Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of MEP systems for our construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing MEP systems in large-scale projects, with a focus on timely delivery, quality control, and budget management. The MEP Projects Manager will be responsible for coordinating with engineers, subcontractors, and the client, ensuring that all MEP components are integrated efficiently and meet regulatory and safety standards.


Required Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, or a related field.


Required Experience & Certificates:

-Minimum of 8 years of experience in MEP management, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
-Proven experience managing large-scale MEP installations in construction projects (commercial, residential, or industrial).
-Experience working in Abidjan or similar regions in West Africa is a plus.
-Strong understanding of MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and building automation.
-Professional certifications in MEP systems or project management (PMP, LEED, etc.) are an added advantage.


Required Skills:

-Strong leadership and people management skills.
-Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
-Exceptional communication skills in both French and English (spoken and written).
-Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and other MEP-related software.
-Knowledge of local regulations, codes, and safety standards.
-Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders.
-Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
-Ability to adapt to changing project needs and deliver under pressure.
-Familiarity with French & American norms.


Tasks and Duties:

-Oversee the execution of MEP works on-site, ensuring all aspects of the project are on schedule and within budget.
-Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop project plans and timelines.
-Lead and coordinate the MEP team to ensure proper implementation of the design and scope of work.
-Manage and review MEP submittals, shop drawings, and material approvals to ensure compliance with project requirements.
-Supervise and guide MEP engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
-Conduct regular site inspections and meetings to assess progress, solve technical issues, and address any delays.
-Ensure effective communication and coordination between the MEP team and other departments (e.g., civil, structural, and architectural).
-Ensure that all MEP systems comply with local building codes, safety standards, and international best practices.
-Perform quality checks on MEP installations to ensure they meet the required standards and specifications.
-Maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, and certifications to ensure compliance.
-Manage the MEP projects budget, including tracking costs, labor, materials, and resources.
-Work with procurement teams to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of MEP materials.
-Monitor resource utilization and ensure that necessary manpower and equipment are available as needed.
-Regularly update clients and senior management on project status, challenges, and achievements.
-Resolve technical or design-related issues that may arise during the project lifecycle, in collaboration with MEP Design Lead.
-Provide technical expertise and advice to clients and contractors when required.
-Identify potential risks related to MEP systems and take proactive measures to mitigate them.
-Develop contingency plans and adjust project timelines as needed to accommodate any unforeseen challenges.
