R&D & Quality Supervisor – Requirements & Qualifications (All Fozkudia Factories)
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science & Technology, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
Specialized certification in Product Development, Process Engineering, or Innovation Management is an advantage.
Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in R&D within the food manufacturing sector, preferably across multiple product categories (biscuits, confectionery, canned goods, packaging).
Experience in scaling lab formulations to full production.
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of food formulation, raw materials, and processing techniques for both bakery and sauce/paste products.
Familiarity with packaging development (cartons, flexible packaging, tins).
Ability to conduct product shelf-life studies and sensory evaluation.
Understanding of market trends and consumer behavior in Angola and export markets.
Data analysis tools for R&D performance tracking.
Experience in implementing standardized QA/QC systems across multiple factories or production lines.
Expertise in QA/QC process design, auditing techniques, and documentation control.
Strong knowledge of lab testing methods for microbiological, chemical, and physical parameters in food and packaging.
Ability to lead supplier quality audits.
Have strong multilingual communication skills (Portuguese + English, Arabic or french is a plus).
Certifications
HACCP certification (mandatory).
Food Safety Management System (ISO 22000 or FSSC 22000) knowledge.
Knowledge of Certification procedures for export markets is a plus.
Soft Skills
Strong creativity and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication for cross-functional collaboration (sales, marketing, production, QA).
Ability to work under pressure and in africa, angola specific.
