About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Expert located in Lebanon with proven experience in UAE taxation, specifically in Corporate Income Tax (CIT) and Value Added Tax (VAT). The candidate will be responsible for ensuring full compliance with UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA) requirements, preparing and reviewing CIT and VAT returns, advising on tax planning strategies, and supporting the accounting team in all taxation matters.
Key Responsibilities
• Corporate Income Tax (CIT):
o Prepare, review, and file CIT returns in accordance with UAE tax laws and FTA regulations.
o Analyze the impact of new tax legislation and ensure company compliance.
o Maintain accurate tax records and documentation to support filings and audits.
o Provide guidance on tax-efficient structuring and corporate tax planning.
• Value Added Tax (VAT):
o Prepare and file accurate VAT returns within statutory deadlines.
o Ensure VAT compliance for transactions, invoicing, and reporting.
o Manage VAT reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
o Provide advisory on VAT implications of business operations and contracts.
• Advisory & Compliance:
o Keep abreast of UAE Ministry of Finance and FTA updates, circulars, and compliance requirements.
o Support internal and external tax audits.
o Develop and implement tax compliance controls and best practices.
o Train and support internal staff on tax-related matters.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree or Tax Certification is a plus).
• Proven experience (5+ years) in taxation with a strong focus on UAE VAT and CIT.
• In-depth knowledge of UAE Federal Tax Authority regulations and compliance processes.
• Experience in tax advisory, reporting, and audit handling.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Fluency in Arabic and English (written and spoken).
• Proficiency in ERP/accounting software and MS Excel.
