Summary of responsibilities:
The Senior Accountant is responsible for different functions within the accounting department.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Coordinating accounting functions and programs.
• Preparing financial analyses and reports.
• Preparing revenue projections and forecasting expenditures.
• Assisting with preparing and monitoring budgets.
• Maintaining and reconciling balance sheets and general ledger accounts.
• Assisting with annual audit preparations.
• Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.
• Contributing to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
• Performing other accounting duties and supporting junior staff as required or assigned:
• Handling data entry of accounting transactions (Daily journal, budgets, payments, receipts, etc…)
• Preparing disbursement vouchers, and maintaining records of accounts payable and receivable.
• Controlling and collecting receivable balances.
• Preparing monthly Reconciliation of the bank statements.
• Handling the reconciliation of all collected credit cards with credit card services and follow-up pending transactions.
• Preparing reconciliation of suppliers’ statements in a regular manner.
• Preparing payments to third parties: Letters of Credit, transfers and checks.
• Processing and Monitoring all Collections: Cash, Checks and Credit Cards.
• Performing other duties as required.
Skills and Qualifications
• BA degree in Business Management – MBA is a plus
• 3-5 years of experience in a similar position
• Organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
• Time management skills.
• Strong financial analysis skills
• Reliability and ability to work with little to no supervision
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Familiar with the use of accounting software.
