Position Summary
The Clothing Store Supervisor supports the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, supervising staff, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining store standards. This role is hands-on and requires strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to guide a sales team toward achieving sales goals.
Key Responsibilities
1. Store Operations
Assist in daily opening and closing procedures.
Ensure store cleanliness, organization, and adherence to visual merchandising guidelines.
Monitor stock levels and support inventory management and replenishment.
Handle POS operations, cash management, and daily reconciliation when required.
Ensure compliance with store policies, safety procedures, and loss-prevention controls.
2. Sales & Customer Service
Support the sales team to meet and exceed daily and monthly sales targets.
Provide exceptional customer service and handle escalated customer issues.
Maintain strong product knowledge to assist customers effectively.
Promote upselling and cross-selling techniques.
3. Team Supervision
Supervise sales staff during shifts and ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
Assist in training new employees and providing ongoing coaching.
Prepare shift schedules as delegated and ensure proper floor coverage.
Motivate team members and maintain a positive work environment.
4. Visual Merchandising
Ensure displays follow brand standards and seasonal guidelines.
Coordinate product placement on the sales floor to maximize sales.
Assist in setting up new collections, promotional displays, and in-store events.
5. Reporting & Communication
Provide feedback to the Store Manager regarding staff performance and operational issues.
Communicate daily updates, priorities, and goals to the team.
Report any incidents, shortages, or discrepancies promptly.
