Job Title: Occupational Therapist (Part-Time)
School for special needs is seeking a dedicated and qualified Occupational Therapist to join a Special Needs School on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will provide therapeutic interventions to support students’ physical, sensory, and cognitive development, helping them achieve greater independence in the school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assessment & Planning: Conduct assessments to identify students’ sensory, motor, and functional needs. Develop individualized treatment plans (IEPs) tailored to each student.
Intervention: Provide direct therapy sessions focused on fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, sensory integration, and daily living skills.
Collaboration: Consult with teachers and support staff to integrate therapeutic strategies into the classroom curriculum.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of student progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
Guidance: Advise staff and parents on activities and adaptive equipment to support the student's development.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
Valid License/Permission to practice from the Ministry of Public Health.
Previous experience working with children or individuals with special needs is highly preferred.
Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills.
Ability to work independently during the assigned shift.
Schedule & Compensation:
Work Schedule: Every Friday.
Hours: 4 to 5 hours per visit.
Compensation: $50 per Friday (per shift).
