We are looking for an experienced Customs Clearing Officer to handle customs clearance procedures for air, sea, and land shipments.The role requires strong knowledge of Lebanese customs regulations, hands-on coordination at ports and airports, and close follow-up with customs authorities to ensure timely clearance of shipments.
Key Responsibilities
• Handle customs clearance for import and export shipments (air, sea, and land).
• Prepare, submit, and follow up on customs declarations and related documents.
• Visit ports, airports, and customs offices as required to follow up on shipments.
• Ensure compliance with Lebanese customs laws, tariffs, and regulations.
• Resolve customs holds, inspections, and documentation issues efficiently.
• Communicate status updates to internal teams and clients.
• Maintain proper records and filing of customs documents.
Requirements & Qualifications
• Minimum 3 years of experience in customs clearing in Lebanon (mandatory).
• Strong knowledge of Lebanese customs procedures and regulations.
• Proven experience dealing with Beirut Port, and Beirut Airport.
• Ability and willingness to visit ports and airports regularly.
• Good understanding of HS codes, customs valuation, and clearance documentation.
• Strong coordination and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Arabic and English (spoken and written).
• Computer literacy (customs systems, emails, basic Excel).
• Previous experience with freight forwarding companies.
• Knowledge of customs exemptions, special permits, and regulated commodities.
