Position Overview:
Plumer
Plumbers perform both preventative and corrective maintenance. Plumbers may begin a repair job by scanning the plants looking for obvious problems, such as water leaking noisy pumps etc. If a part is pipe to have been broken or blocked, they may repair, PVC weld or repair the pipe back so that the network is functional. Technicians may also be responsible for maintaining the plumbing network. This includes calibrating assemblies to meet specifications and using test instruments, like gauge performance. Plumber may have varying shifts, including late night or early morning.
Duties:
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance per property schedules
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams
• Assemble, align, and fabricate mechanical components and control systems
• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems (water supply, sanitary and storm drainage)
• Maintain water treatment systems, softeners, reverse osmosis units, heaters, PRVs/DRVs, and valves
• Install and maintain underground storm, sanitary, and water piping systems
• Test water quality and inspect pipe systems for leaks and defects
• Diagnose system malfunctions and implement effective repairs
• Plan wiring layouts and support mechanical system installations
• Conduct daily/monthly inspections and complete maintenance checklists
• Maintain tools and equipment; troubleshoot and coordinate repairs
• Supervise and train workers on installation and maintenance procedures
• Prepare installation reports, service documentation, and task estimates
• Perform general building maintenance and handyman support as required
Skills/Qualifications:
• Technical college (TS) degree
• Precision measurement and adherence to engineering specifications
• Proficient in operating machinery (drill presses, grinders, engine lathes)
• Strong numerical aptitude (fractions, measurements, calculations)
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Ability to follow instructions and provide technical input when required
• Capable of detailed, high-accuracy work
• Strong teamwork and independent work abilities
• Physically fit; able to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects
• Effective communication and recordkeeping skills
• Competent in handling controlled substances and hazardous materials
• Ability to operate and understand complex machinery and systems
• Quick, confident, and precise manual handling skills
