SGMC is currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Inpatient Billing Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing inpatient billing operations, preparing patient and third-party payer invoices, coordinating with internal departments and insurance representatives, and ensuring accurate and timely billing processes in accordance with hospital tariff policies and contractual agreement
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and price final invoices for discharged inpatients in accordance with hospital tariff policies and procedures.
Process cash and third-party payer invoices and forward finalized documents for settlement and review.
Coordinate with physicians, hospital departments, and insurance representatives to obtain approvals, supporting documentation, and resolve billing-related issues.
Verify the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of billing documentation with hospital procedures and contractual requirements.
Analyze patient charges to determine insurance coverage and patient responsibility amounts.
Follow up on adjusted claims and communicate billing outcomes clearly to patients and third-party payers.
Respond to patient inquiries regarding billing and payment matters professionally and efficiently.
Support colleagues within the billing department and perform related administrative duties as required.
Job Requirements:
Education & Experience:
BA degree in Accounting / Business Administration or equivalent
Or
TS degree in accounting or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, preferably within a hospital or healthcare setting.
Skills:
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with clinical, administrative, and insurance team
• Knowledge of hospital billing systems, tariffs, and insurance processes (preferred)
• Good organization skills
• Good command of Arabic and English
• Computer Literate
