Amaken is hiring a Junior Finance Officer for an F&B and retail industry based in Gabon. The Junior Finance Officer will support the Finance Department in day-to-day accounting activities, financial reporting, supplier coordination, inventory-related financial controls, and documentation management.
This role plays an important part in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring effective cash control, supporting supplier reconciliation processes, and monitoring costs across FMCG and Food & Beverage operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the finance team in monitoring daily sales, cash collections, POS reports, and bank deposits.
• Assist in verifying supplier invoices, following up on payments, and reconciling supplier accounts.
• Support inventory and stock control activities by coordinating with operations, warehouse, purchasing, and branch teams.
• Assist in reviewing stock movements, wastage reports, transfers, and cost of goods sold (COGS).
• Monitor petty cash reports and verify supporting documentation.
• Support month-end closing activities, including reconciliations, expense tracking, and financial reporting.
• Assist in monitoring operational and financial expenses and report discrepancies, missing documentation, or irregularities.
• Ensure compliance with internal finance procedures, company policies, and established control processes.
• Provide administrative and operational support to the finance team as required by management.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in finance, preferably within FMCG, retail, restaurant, or Food & Beverage industries.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Ability to work with POS reports, invoices, supplier statements, and financial records.
• Knowledge of inventory management, stock control, or cost control is considered an advantage.
• Fluency in French is mandatory.
• Good command of English is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

• Basic knowledge of food costing, stock variance analysis, and supplier reconciliation.
