Mechanical Engineer (MEP Project Manager) – 5-Star Hotel Project – Iraq
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead the complete MEP works for a prestigious 5-Star Hotel Project in Iraq.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, ELV, and BMS works from design coordination through procurement, construction, testing & commissioning, and final handover while ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and schedule performance. Previous experience delivering luxury hospitality projects is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage all MEP activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, ELV, and BMS works.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, interior designers, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical documentation.
• Monitor project progress, quality, cost, and schedule to ensure successful project delivery.
• Lead procurement planning and coordinate material approvals.
• Manage testing, commissioning, system integration, and project handover.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, hotel brand standards, local regulations, and HSE requirements.
• Resolve technical and construction challenges proactively.
• Prepare progress reports and attend coordination meetings with the Client and Consultant.
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in MEP construction projects.
• Minimum 5 years in a Project Manager or Senior MEP Management role.
• Proven experience delivering at least one 5-Star Hotel Project from construction through testing & commissioning and handover.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC (Chilled Water Systems), Plumbing, Fire Fighting, ELV, BMS, and coordination of Electrical systems.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
• PMP certification is an advantage.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
• Excellent command of English.
