Job Summary (French Language Proficiency is a must)

The Sales Supervisor - Industrial is responsible for driving the commercial development of the Industrial Business Unit, with a primary focus on electric generators and industrial equipment. The role oversees both the Sales and After-Sales teams. Provides technical expertise in power load calculations, and generator sizing, conduct market research, pricing strategies, and product portfolio management. All while ensuring sustainable business growth and maximizing sales performance across all categories related to the business unit.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Sales and After-Sales Team Management

Lead, supervise, and coordinate the Sales and After-Sales teams across multiple locations.
Provide objective performance evaluations of sales and technical teams.
Coordinate with the HR team for the recruitment needs of the business unit, and ensure continuous professional development and training of team members.
Define individual and team sales targets, establish performance-based incentive schemes, and monitor progress.
Develop and manage work schedules and sales activity plans for the commercial team.
Coach, mentor, and motivate team members to achieve operational excellence and business objectives.
Technical Expertise and Engineering Solutions

Demonstrate advanced technical knowledge of diesel and gas generator sets and their operating principles.
Perform electrical load assessments and power calculations to accurately size generator solutions based on customer requirements.
Provide technical guidance on generator installation, commissioning, electrical integration, and site requirements.
Deliver pre-sales technical support for industrial equipment.
Advise customers on power system designs, equipment selection, and application engineering.
Provide technical support for generator synchronization, paralleling systems, load sharing, automatic transfer switches (ATS), automatic main failure (AMF) systems, and synchronizing control panels.
Market Research, Pricing, and Competitive Analysis

Plan and oversee comprehensive market research within the Industrial business unit.
Develop and implement pricing strategies aligned with market conditions, competitive positioning, and company profitability objectives.
Conduct ongoing competitive analysis and provide strategic oversight and recommendations to strengthen the company’s market position.
Monitor industry trends, customer needs, and emerging technologies to identify new business opportunities.
Inventory Management and Product Portfolio Development

Monitor slow-moving and obsolete inventory and recommend appropriate stock clearance initiatives.
Identify gaps within the business unit portfolio, including but not limited to generators, spare parts, construction equipment, and ensure the product range remains complete and competitive.
Contribute to the growth of the Industrial equipment business unit by identifying new products, technologies, and industrial solutions.
Work closely with Procurement and Supply Chain teams to optimize product availability and inventory levels.
Business Development and Order Management

Grow the company’s customer portfolio, including industrial companies, engineering consultants, EPC contractors, infrastructure developers.
Develop strong relationships with key accounts and strategic contractors.
Support the order processing cycle in collaboration with the Procurement Department to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
Prepare technical and commercial proposals tailored to customer requirements.
Sales Reporting and CRM Management

Ensure accurate and timely updating of the company's CRM system by the sales team.
Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance analyses for management.
Track and monitor outstanding quotations, unapproved proforma invoices, lost opportunities, conversion rates, and recommending corrective actions where necessary.
Oversee the After-Sales reporting and customer service performance.
Analyze sales performance indicators (KPIs) and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration and Professional Development

Work closely with Marketing, Procurement, Finance, and After-sales teams to ensure effective commercial execution.
Participate in industry seminars, exhibitions, and professional events related to electrical engineering and renewable energy to maintain up-to-date market and technical knowledge.
Promote knowledge sharing and technical excellence within the commercial team.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical / Electromechanical Engineering or related technical field.
Minimum of three (3) years of sales experience in the Industrial equipment industry
