Job Summary (French language proficiency is a must)
Independent financial and operational auditor covering all agencies and branches in the Centre and Littoral zones. The Internal Auditor operates with full independence from operational management — reporting directly and exclusively to the CFO. This role conducts all audit fieldwork for central & littoral agencies: physical verifications, stock counts, cash counts, third-party account checks, expense audits, and SOP compliance testing. The Internal Auditor also co-develops all audit frameworks with other members of the Internal Audit Department.
Key Responsibilities
Design the audit schedule for all zones as per the approved audit plan.
Conduct all audit fieldwork for all agencies: fixed assets (Class 2), stock sampling (Class 3), cash counts (Class 5), third-party verification (Class 4), expense audit (Class 6), SOP compliance.
Review and approve (or refuse) all inventory stock adjustment requests from inventory teams.
Issue formal audit notification letters and document request lists to all agencies.
Conduct surprise unannounced cash counts at all agencies at any time.
Prepare and issue agency audit reports (findings, risk ratings, recommendations) within 10 business days of completed fieldwork.
Maintain the agencies' corrective action tracking register; monthly follow-up on all open findings.
Contribute to quarterly audit summary reports (all zones) submitted to CFO.
Co-develop all audit standard templates and toolkits with other members in the internal audit department.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Annual plan execution rate: all scheduled CNT audits completed — Target: 100%
Report timeliness: audit report issued within 10 business days of fieldwork — Target: 100%
Corrective action closure rate: actions closed on time — Target: 100%
Repeat finding rate: same finding in consecutive audits of same agency — Target: 0%
Inventory adjustment approval: no ERP adjustment without written sign-off — Target: 100%
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor degree in accounting or related field.
Minimum 5 years accounting or audit experience; internal audit experience preferred
ERP proficiency.
Advanced Microsoft office skills (Word & Excel; dashboards, charts & pivot tables).
Strong French language proficiency, including speaking, reading, and writing.
Fluent in French; ability to work across multiple agency locations.
